Andi Orlowski becomes AphA president

Announcing the appointment of Andi Orlowski as President of the Association of professional healthcare analysts (AphA) for the period January 2022 to December 2022.

Andi, who formally took the post on at the beginning of January 2022, is a health economist and remains the Director of the Health Economics Unit, an NHS organisation supporting health and care locally, regionally and nationally, providing expertise in economics, population health, analytics and evaluations.

A lively and ambitious organisation, with great members

Andi was previously AphA’s Non-Executive Director – Lead for Collaboration and Clinical Engagement. Andi said “I am absolutely delighted to take up the role of AphA analysts president because the Association is a lively and ambitious organisation, with great members making a crucial difference to the quality of care delivered within the NHS. My ambition is to support the Association in raising the profile of and representing the voice of health and care analysts.”

Extensive experience, expertise and endless enthusiasm

Chief Operating Officer of AphA, Rony Arafin said “I am very pleased to welcome Andi’s appointment and I am confident that the Association and the membership will benefit hugely from his extensive experience, expertise and endless enthusiasm.

As an avid supporter of AphA and the work that we do, I am excited to work closely with Andi as we continue to expand our profile at all levels.”

Andi succeeds Paul Stroner, who announced his decision to retire from the role during December 2021.
