HEU Lead Data Scientist

We are hiring a creative and passionate Lead Data Scientist (Band 8a) The application deadline is currently 31 October 2022.

You’ll have experience working in a big data environment, deploying data science and machine learning techniques. You’ll also be somebody that has experience of collaborating and building relationships across organisational boundaries and creating successful partnerships.

We are the Health Economics Unit and we lead on the generation of world-class evidence through health economics and advanced analytics for the NHS and beyond. Through collaboration we enable our partners to make the best possible decisions about health and care.

About the Position

As our Lead Data Scientist you will work with other data science, data engineering, health economics, project management, and communications colleagues, taking responsibility for the delivery of a wide range of projects and programmes within the Health Economics Unit.

Location

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the majority of the team are temporarily working from home. We have adopted the principles of agile working to support the flexibility and work/life balance of our people, focusing on what you do rather than where you do it. Whilst the team and individuals working with you may be based all over the UK, where you are based and work from is not an issue for us. Although we plan to have a London office, how you engage with the space will be explored further with you and our team in the future.
