We are hosting a series of NHS England commissioned workshops during May 2021 to help develop a ‘how-to guide’ for data-linkage, connecting health and social care datasets.
If you are an AphA Analysts member then we need your help, input and attendance at the upcoming workshops to discuss and develop the guide.
Hosted completely online, the workshops are scheduled for the following times:
- 2.30pm to 4pm, Tuesday 11 May 2021
- 2.30pm to 4pm, Wednesday 12 May 2021
- 12.30pm to 2pm, Thursday 20 May 2021.

- 2 pm to 3.30pm, Tuesday 25 May 2021
- 11am to 12.30pm, Wednesday 26 May 2021
- 1pm to 2.30pm, Tuesday 1 June 1 2021.
Workshop Structure
The online workshop will take around 90 minutes. The workshop will focus on the contents of the guide, which will include:
- Benefits of data linkage
- Process flows for linking data
- Potential challenges and how to mitigate them.
Scientific paper
As part of the project we will publish the outputs of this workshop as a scientific paper with the University of Bradford. Contributors to the workshop will be named collaborators on the publication. The workshop will be recorded, and materials created will be held securely on NHS servers for 12 months following publication.
