Used correctly Impactibilty is a hugely impactful population health management technique, with potential to reduce health inequalities and lower the risk of poor outcomes for patients. As it has gone from theory to practice in recent years, discussion has arisen over the practical definition of the technique. The Health Economics Unit gathered experts to share their thoughts on the potential of Impactibility in healthcare and the dangers of doing it poorly.
Documented in our latest article, published in the BMJ Journals, we curated workshops of experts from across healthcare and analytics, to spark discussion on Impactibility and how best to define and use this impactful technique. Participants included leaders from National Health Service (NHS) analytics, policy-makers, academics and members of non-governmental think tank organisations.
The workshops highlighted a huge variance in the understanding of Impactibility as an emerging technique and the need for more planning and training when implementing it in a practical setting. Read the full piece here.
